A few of my (Spencer's) favorite things

 Grandpa's new toy.

I am pretty sure Grandpa and Spencer enjoy it equally. Spencer loves going on rides with Grandpa and will usually sing or talk for the entire ride.
Remotes. He got his own remote for Christmas. It was an old one that looks almost identical to the real thing, but he knows the difference and will have none of it.

Dirt. Eating it, playing in it, making mud pies of it. He loves it all.
His teeth. He loves, no insists, on eating the same thing as Mom and Dad.
Balls. He does not discriminate. As long as it is spherical, it must be a ball and he must play with it. Oranges, tomatoes, basketballs, dodge balls, balloons. He throws them , kicks them, carries them around the house, bounces them into and out of the playpen. He is a much better soccer player than his mom.
Dad. His favorite and first word, best friend and playmate. He lights up when Dad walks in the door and has special games and laughs that he saves exclusively for Dad. They love to have tickle fights in the morning.
Mom. I have been able to spend more time at home and less at work. I love our morning together. He is such a good helper: doing dishes, laundry, watering the plants, picking up, reading stories. I am so lucky to have such a good boy.

Bye, Bye Baby Curls

Before I went off to girls camp, I finally bit the bullet and cut off Spencer's baby curls. It is too hot in Vegas to have much hair and he had been irritated by a sweaty head. I know I needed to do it, but it was hard to say goodbye to my little baby. He definitely looks like a toddler now.

The only time I had to do it that I would have help was late at night the Saturday before camp. He was grumpy, but I had good helpers to keep him entertained.

It looks pretty good, even with all the wiggles.
