Guess that gender

The closer we get to having this baby, the harder it gets to not know if it is a boy or girl, but we are holding out. It is really funny to hear all of the women that come in where I work tell me all about how they know it is a girl because of this or they are positive it is a boy because of that. I do think it is interesting that the first two trimesters nearly everyone guessed girl, then it abruptly switched and everyone was guessing boy and now it is a mixed bag. We will be ecstatic either way. We are no where near being ready though. We decided to do a shower after the baby is born so that we will know the gender. Unconventional...I know, but that is how we do lots of things. This will work well for us. We have some of the basics and will make do for the meantime. We finally got the garage painted (Many thanks to my Dad and family for all of their help). Now the baby's room is not completely full of boxes, just partly. We are getting to where our house is settling in the way we want it. Hopefully soon I will post those long promised pictures of the rest of our house. They have me going once a week to be monitored at the doctors office. I am measuring really small, but the doctor is not too worried. I am a small girl and will probably have a small baby. As long as it is a healthy baby we will be happy. It is really funny to see the expression on people's faces when they ask when I am due. They expect it to be much further away. The official due date is May 2, but this baby has a mind of it's own so I have a feeling it will come on its own time table. Here's a picture of us from our family photo shoot a few weeks ago at my parents. It is hard to believe that in less than two weeks our family photo will have three people!
